In a previous post, I committed to sharing with you what I am learning along my blogging way. So, I’d like to pass on, briefly, one of the lessons that I am learning.

One of my seminary professors told a class full of us, his wet-behind-the-ears-though-bright-eyed-and-well-intended-we’re-going-to-change-the-world-in-30-days-or-less (just give us our pieces of paper, thank you, and turn us loose!) ministry students:

If getting interrupted annoys you, then either get out of ministry now, don’t get into it in the first place, or change your attitude and heart! Ministry,” he said, “is about being interrupted by God, and God’s interruptions normally come in the form of people, most of them with problems.

I think he must have been talking about yesterday . . . and the day before that . . . and the day before that one, and all of last week, too!

So, here’s one lesson that I’m learning along my blogging way:

If I’m going to do this blogging thing, I’ll have to schedule it regularly; and it’s looking like four in the morning will be just about the best time to schedule it!

There’s just ONE problem with that — well, actually, there are several problems with that; but this is a MAJOR one: I’M NOT A MORNING PERSON!

About a day-and-a-half after I left the U. S. Army way back in 1993, I quickly discerned that any early-morning discipline that my be-all-that-[I]-[could]-be regimentation afforded me was not my own, but externally imposed. So out went the morning rigor on about day three!

But I also realize that, to gain and keep readers, I must post regularly. So, please be patient with me – a new-no-nothing-blogger, as I work out this new addition to my schedule.

Also, please keep in mind that, once I get beyond this series of ‘pillar posts,’ I [presumably] won’t feel such a need to word-smith – at least, not quite so much, possibly, maybe, I hope.
